As we draw towards Christmas, and after that to the end of the year, we thought now would be a good time to look back on what we’ve been up to this year, and forward to our plans for 2014.
At the start of 2013, we were ready to unveil our new brand and logo, and thanks here are due to Holden and Sons for their fantastic work. We still love the monochrome logo and we think our website really stands out from the competition.
By January we were already on the look-out for new office premises and in March we moved to our current home in Hanover House.
Also in March, we announced that Gisella had been appointed to the board of directors at Bury FC, and had provided all of the legal support for Stewart Day’s takeover of the club. We continue to support Bury FC and, as a football lover and keen supporter, Gisella attends all of the home matches, and most of the away fixtures too.
We completed our fourth financial year in April, announcing a fantastic 80% turnover increase on the previous 12 month period. Not a bad result when other many law firms are struggling financially, and even closing down.
In June we welcomed conveyancing executive, Sonia Marley to the team. Sonia had worked previously with our Head of Conveyancing, Rachel Haymes, and became a hugely important member of the team within hours of joining.
Most recently, we announced our two year sponsorship deal with Bury FC, which included the renaming of the club’s south stand as The Ratio Stand. Gisella continues to sit on the board and is hoping that Bury FC will end the season on a high.
So, on review, 2013 has been a hugely eventful year for Ratio Law. In 2014 we hope to continue to build upon this year’s successes and grow once more on a sustainable but ambitious basis.
Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our clients and business contacts, many of whom are good friends. We really do appreciate your ongoing support and we look forward to continuing to work with you in 2014.
And on that note… Happy Christmas!
